When should your Toner/Ink Cartridge be changed?

When you start to see the quality of your printed document start to fade from dark to light, it's probably because your toner/ink is starting to get low. For toner cartridges, a temporary quick fix is to remove the toner from the printer and carefully shake the toner from left to right about 10 times and re-insert the cartridge back in the printer. You should get a better quality print for your next 10-20 pages, but it is advised to go ahead and purchase your new toner/ink cartridge as soon as you can. Unfortunately for inkjet cartridges, the above procedure cannot be performed.

If you start to see white lines running horizontally all the way down your printed page, it's probably time to change your printer cartridge. If you try the above procedure first and lines continue to appear, then replace your toner with a new one.

When installing your new cartridge, please make sure you remove all indicated plastic inserts, clips, and tape strips or your cartridge will not install correctly or print at all without these removals.

At Cartridge Supplier, we recommend ordering 2 or more cartridges, especially if you find yourself printing frequently during a month's period. This way, when the first cartridge starts to get low, you can feel confident knowing you have a second on hand. Once you install the second cartridge, go ahead and place your order for another 1 or 2 to have in stock.

When stored in the proper conditions, toner cartridges normally have a shelf life of 2 years.
